HIB Self-Assessment 2012-2013
The Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (ABR), implemented in the 2011-12 school year, set the bar high for schools to deal with Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying. The students and staff of Crest Memorial rose to the challenge and have been working diligently to not only comply, but excel. At the end of the 2012/13 school year, we were asked to assess our efforts. Our district score of 59 out of 75 is conservative, as we were very critical of our own programs. Since the time of the self-assessment, Crest Memorial has been working hard at making even more improvements to our bullying procedures and our prevention measures. While there is still some additional work to do, we feel that we are moving in the right direction and the positive climate in our school reflects these efforts.
